Its Chef Martin Gonzalez serves the most authentic Italian food in San Diego. He follows the true tradition of Italian cuisine by serving his dishes in courses - pasta, meat and desert - not just slopping pasta, meat and vegetables on one plate like other Italian eateries. Not many people know that Acqua al 2 is a duplicate of the well-known Acqua al 2 in Florence, Italy. Acqua al 2's waiters will tell you the restaurant's histroy when you sit down to eat. I take all my out of town guests to Acqua al 2 when they visit San Diego. Acqua al 2 is by far my favorite Italian place in the city.
